Biography

Caroline obtained a BSc in Physics and a Masters in Materials Physics from the University of Salford and a PhD in Physics from the University of Strathclyde, focusing on advancing bio-sensing applications using hybrid organic/inorganic distributed feedback lasers. Following her PhD, she conducted postdoctoral research in three different universities. In particular, she was a researcher at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) where she developed organic colour-converters for visible light communication applications, then at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), focusing on colloidal quantum dots colour-converters and sensors, and finally at the Institut de la Recherche National (Montreal, Canada) where she focused on nonlinear photonic devices such as nanolasers.
Before joining the office in August 2021, Caroline was a trainee patent attorney for 2 years in an Intellectual Property law firm in the United Kingdom. She obtained the postgraduate certificate in Intellectual Property from the University of Bournemouth in 2020.
